Lyn, Sandy, Tracey and Janet are our TOUROZ “Awesome Foursome” but they are also members of the Triker Queens and United Trikers, a dedicated group of trike enthusiasts enjoying the freedom of the open road, and looking out for each other while they do it.

It’s fun being a Triker Queen!

You’ll remember from our earlier reporting on this intrepid Foursome, they hail from the Gladstone area where they are members of the Ulysees Club. At that time, Sandy told us she took up triking after seeing comedian Billy Connolly riding his trike in his British television documentary.

Since then she has cheekily informed us that she loves riding her TOUROZ trike to the shops, simply because she ‘can’ and she ’caused a stir when she turned up at her craft class’.

Yep, there’s nothing discreet about a TOUROZ trike, it’s guaranteed to turn more than a few heads!

Recently, a group of “Queens’  managed to get away for a few days touring. Lyn let us know that the four of them from the Central Queensland area, hatched a plan to meet up with the girls from Wide Bay to do some riding around the Bundaberg and Bargara areas.

“Our unwritten motto is to look out for, help and care for each other – on and off the road,” Lyn said.

“I’m currently nursing a broken leg, and the girls were so helpful and caring towards me. Off the trike I’m quite useless on my two sticks at the moment.

“We had the joy of being able to share our love of trikes with the general public, allowing them to sit on my trike and take photos to show their families. We love to share our love of trike riding – it’s always a big part of taking the trikes out.”

Lyn said the bonus is always the fabulous scenery they see on their adventures, which she says “never ceases to amaze”.  Ain’t that the truth. Trikes are the ultimate in ‘open top’ transport!

While we’re sorry to hear Lyn has broken her leg, (not trike related, thank goodness) we’re pleased that it seems nothing is going to stop this lady or her fearless friends.

We really pleased these Awesome Queens, shared their trike story with us, so it’s only fitting to give the last word to Lyn:

“For all the girls reading this – we encourage you to get out there and become a Triker Queen too. You’ll never look back!”
